Ukrainian armed forces, National Guard and other law enforcement agencies are put on high alert over early elections in Ukraine’s parliament the Verkhovna Rada due on Sunday.
October 26, spokesman of Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council Andrei Lysenko told reporters it’s on Friday.
The president decided that not voluntary battalions, but police, National Guard and Defence Ministry’s units will guard polling stations and election committees,” he said.
The Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council’s information centre will also work around the clock.
“The council’s information analytical centre will work round the clock and we will react urgently to all events,” he said, adding that “All press services of law enforcement agencies are put on high alert.”
